Critical Commentary 1 (Week 4)

Man, This week just started and I'm already amazed that I've got commentary for class. The visit by William Wright today just gave such depth and clarity to our class that I begin to wonder how our classroom discussions would shift as a result of having him there. Mr Wright also gave me a deeper look into Charles wright's poem as well considering how this was also my first time looking at this poem and analyzing it within the context of its placement inside of the anthology. Just hearing the clarity at which Mr. Wright was describing his analysis of Charles Wright's poem showed me that he knew his stuff and that he was fluent with a lot of the topics we covered in class as well as that of an upper level studies. This class and the books passed around got me more interested in reading a lot more of Charles Wright to try my hand at some of the techniques he uses in his poems.
